How do I host a Period Party?

Hosting a Period Party is easy — just gather a group of friends, collect the needed supplies, and enjoy catching up while you assemble the Period Packs. Our volunteers have hosted Period Parties with their book club, workout class, supper club, Sunday School class, and play group.

What goes in a Period Pack?

Each Period Pack contains enough supplies for one woman for one month. We include:

  • Pads
  • Tampons
  • Liners
  • Individually wrapped feminine wipes

Pack everything neatly into a quart-sized Ziploc bag. And voila, you’ve assembled a Period Pack!

How many Period Packs should we make?

A good rule of thumb is that for each $5 a guest contributes, you will be able to make 2 Period Packs. If you host 10 friends who all contribute $10, you can expect to prepare 40 Period Packs.

Set a goal for how many packs your group can provide, and divide up who will bring which supplies. Or, ask your friends to reimburse you for purchasing the supplies.

Does it matter which brand I buy, and are there any products I should avoid?

We accept product donations of all brands. All we require is that each product is individually wrapped.

Where do I take the assembled Period Packs?

We have drop-off locations throughout Greenville. The full list of drop-off locations is here: Drop Off Locations
